Yes it’s that Christmas story! Humorist Jean Shepherd's memoir of growing up in the Midwest in the 1940s follows 9-year-old Ralphie Parker in his quest to get a genuine Red Ryder BB gun under the tree for Christmas. Ralphie pleads his case before his mother, his teacher and even Santa Claus himself, at Goldblatt's Department Store.

The Foreigner

"Froggy" LeSeuer, a British demolition expert visits a fishing lodge in Georgia and brings along a friend, a shy young man named Charlie who is overcome with fear at the thought of making conversation with strangers. So "Froggy," before departing, tells all assembled that Charlie is from an exotic foreign country and speaks no English. Charlie overhears much more than he should and fuels the nonstop hilarity of the play.

Ms. Armbruister poses as her own substitute teacher since the school administration wants to put an end to all this drama nonsense-but they can't close down the upcoming play until they find Ms. Armbruister to fire her. Meanwhile, the students decide to come up with their own plan to save the show, which includes having the lead, Dave, dress as Ms. Armbruister!
