2013 - 2014 Season
The Board of Trustees of Amil Tellers of Dramatics/Encore Theatre has announced the 2013 - 2014 Season (pending availabity).
July 12-14, 19-21, 2013 Forbidden Broadway (summer musical) (change)
Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control we will not be able to include A Tale of Two Cities in our 2013-14 season. We apologize for any disappointment or inconvenience this may cause.
However, we have been given the go ahead from the producers of the long-running Off-Broadway show Forbidden Broadway to include that show in our season.
In this long-running Off-Broadway hit musical revue, Broadway's greatest musical legends meet Broadway's greatest satirist in this hilarious, loving, and entertaining tribute to 40 years of Broadway’s greatest stars, shows, and songwriters. Forbidden Broadway’s Greatest Hits is a musical that takes songs from many famous Broadway shows and puts new comical words to the tunes, resulting in hilarious parodies.
Not a Broadway musical fanatic? Not a problem. This show requires no special knowledge of the world of musical theater as it targets musicals and personalities that most people have seen or heard about. This entertaining show spoofs shows such as Annie, Hairspray, The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Cats, and Mamma Mia! It takes good-natured aim at stars such as Ethel Merman, Liza Minelli, and Carol Channing.
It's never been more fun poking fun at your favorite musicals and stars! It is a must-see for serious fans of musical theater and a great night or afternoon of entertainment for everyone else.
As one New York critic put it, "If you love Broadway, you will love this show. If you hate Broadway, you will love this show!"
